Along the Doubs and the Saône

Take advantage of a kayak rental to discover the landscape from a different angle. The rivers of Saône Doubs Bresse are suitable for beginners. These outings with family or friends on the water promise unforgettable memories!
Going down the Doubs
From the beginning of July to the end of August, rent a kayak for one or two people to descend the Doubs from Saunières (6km, 1h30), Pontoux (10km, 2h30) or Navilly (14km, 4h).
During this outing in the middle of nature, you will appreciate this wild environment from an unusual angle. If you're lucky, and if you're a little discreet, you'll get to see the wildlife that lives along the river.
A shuttle will take you from the Guinguette La Plage (next to the campsite and swimming pool in Verdun-sur-le-Doubs) to the starting point of the three proposed routes.

Paddling around Verdun-sur-le-Doubs
There are several short kayak trips from Verdun-sur-le-Doubs:
- Take a tour of the old Verdun: you will discover the old ramparts while passing by the small Doubs which was used as a moat, its clear water makes it very easy to observe numerous fish.
- Get close to the île du château which is home to a variety of animal and plant species.
- Sail on a part of the Dheune, this winding river which offers a total disconnection.
