La Voie Bleue, Moselle-Saône à vélo : de Mont-les-Seurre à Mâcon

This route links the town of Apach in Luxembourg to Lyon (on the viaRhôna), over a distance of around 700 km, following the valleys of the Moselle and Saône rivers. The 106km route in Saône-et-Loire (from Mont-les-Seurre to Mâcon) follows the towpaths of the Voie Bleue along the Saône. Enjoy a gentle cycle ride along a route dotted with gourmet and cultural stops. The banks of the Saône exude a soothing tranquillity and the towpaths, with very few exceptions, are not steep or uneven. Here, the Voie Verte takes on the blue hue of the reflections of the sky in the river. You can breathe in whiffs of the countryside - meadows, cereal fields - mingled with the characteristic scents of wetlands, which are so quick to provide a change of scenery. With little effort on the pedals, your mind wanders freely over the nonchalant course of the river, where barges and pleasure boats trace their ephemeral furrows. During refreshing stops at the water's edge, nature seems to live in slow motion.
